World Mosquito Day 2021

This World Mosquito Day we call on everyone to play their part in the fight to end malaria and ensure no one dies from a mosquito bite.

We encourage all partners and communities around the world to mark the day by joining our social media campaign and sharing our content online. We have developed a range of campaign materials for you to download and disseminate on your platforms.
These include social media interactive filters, graphics and social posts to help you promote the World Mosquito campaign and raise awareness about the deadly mosquito.

Join the conversation: This World Mosquito Day, the world’s top scientists, researchers and epidemiologists fighting malaria and other vector-borne diseases will bring to life the cutting-edge research taking place across the world. Join the conversation on Twitter on 20 August to discover incredible breakthroughs made in recent years to eliminate some of the world’s oldest and deadliest diseases. Use the hashtag #MosquitoChat to tune in and get involved!

Draw the Line: We’re launching a new AR filter on Instagram and Facebook to raise awareness of the Draw the Line campaign, that will enable social media users to capture selfies wearing virtual Muundo face paint and instantly share with their followers. The filter will be available for the world to use from 20 August, so join in to show the world we are the generation that can end malaria! And don’t forget to call on global leaders for greater action by visiting ZeroMalaria.org to ‘Draw the Line’!
