The 79 United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) will take place from 12th to 25th September in New York, and the RBM Partnership will be there to ensure that malaria stays on top of the agenda. Dubbed the Summit of the future, this year’s UNGA will look at going beyond international commitments to ensuring sustainable solutions that can help solve today and tomorrow’s problems too. Malaria is an age-old disease that continues to threaten the future of endemic countries – holding back development and keeping the future generation from achieving their full potential.
The RBM Partnership to End malaria is organizing an intergenerational discussion that will bring together the leaders from the older and younger generation to chart the way towards innovation and research that can bring an end to malaria and deliver a better future. Save the date and join us in this once in a generation conversation that will see young people contribute towards our roadmap to ending malaria by 2030. The intergenerational discussion will contribute to the Summit’s Pact for the Future, aligning with broader international commitments and ensuring that malaria remains a high-priority issue.
